Fortino Dental is a comprehensive dental office conveniently located
in beautiful Ancaster and serves the Ancaster, Dundas, Hamilton and
surrounding communities. The office is operated by Dr. Joseph Fortino
and his highly trained and professional staff. Fortino Dental strives
to provide the best in general and cosmetic dentistry to the community
by offering the most conservative and innovative options available in
dentistry today.
Our brand new office is equipped with the latest in dental technology
including digital x-rays, allowing us to be on the cutting edge in
both comfort and care. Dr. Fortino and his staff work hard to make
sure patients leave with a bright smile on their face, and maintain it

Dr. Joseph Fortino grew up in the Hamilton area and received his undergraduate degree in Health Sciences at McMaster University. He went on to complete his doctor of dental surgery degree at the University of Western Ontario. Dr. Fortino is excited for the opportunity to offer his dental services in his hometown. As a dentist, he recognizes that his patients are unique individuals who have placed a great deal of trust in him and his team. That is just one reason why he values each and every patient relationship.
Dr. Fortino believes the responsibility of a dentist is to educate and guide patients so they can make their own decisions on oral health care. When recommending treatment options, he explains the how and why, ensuring each patient gains a comprehensive understanding of his or her dental health needs. In all aspects of patient care, Dr. Fortino is attentive to detail and has an innate sense of aesthetics and artistry that he brings to each procedure.
Dr. Fortino has additional training in Orthodontics (Invisalign) and is proficient in Oral Surgery, Endodontics and Implant Dentistry. Dr. Fortino also offers sedation for patients who are anxious for dental treatment. As well, Dr. Fortino has taken a keen interest in Botox therapy, especially its use for alleviating TMJ and bruxism (grinding) related symptoms.
Dr. Fortino is an active member of the Ontario Dental Association (ODA) and Canadian Dental Association (CDA) and in good standing with the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario (RCDSO).
In his pastime, Dr. Fortino has a passion for playing piano, writing music, keeping active by playing a variety of sports, hiking, running and going to the gym. He is also fluent in Italian. Dr. Fortino comes from a big Italian family and is the son of Ivana and Ignazio Fortino. Dr. Fortino enjoys writing and composing music, having recorded numerous songs. In November of 2017 they completed recording their first album together entitled "Today."
Dr. Fortino is also the proud brother of Laura Fortino, two time team Canada member and Olympic medalist in women's hockey.
